Author Topic: Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L board, which uses ICH7+ ALC662  (Read 558 times)

The Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L board, which uses ICH7+ ALC662 (which
I don't know if it is your combination), and I found a combination that works
better for me, using APIC/ACPI: Install UniAud 1.1.4RC6 (probably already
installed on eCS2RC5) and then replace UNIAUD16.SYS with that on
Paul's 1.9.8 package:

http://download.smedley.info/uniaud32-1.9.8.zip
(for debug version: http://download.smedley.info/uniaud32-1.9.8-debug.zip )

Also, replace UNIAUD32.SYS with that on the older RC2 version:

ftp.netlabs.org/pub/uniaud/old/uniaud114RC2.zip

If your audio hardware has something to do with mine, this should get
audio somewhat working without hanging everything around and without
repeating sounds. Occasional audio hangs when playing YouTube or
Z! will happen. Nothing that hangs the computer, but sometimes you'll
have to reboot to get your sound back.
