Author Topic: Gigabyte GA-G41M-ES2H board, with a HDA Intel + Realtek ALC888B  (Read 913 times)

The GIGABYTE GA-G41M-ES2H board, which uses the Realtek ALC888B,
but identifies as a HDA Intel + Realtek ALC887 ,  I found a combination that works
better for me, using APIC/ACPI:

Install UniAud 114rc5 or replace the uniaud16.sys with the one from the
UniAud 1.1.4RC5 package and then replace UNIAUD32.SYS with the one
from Paul's 1.9.22 package:

http://download.smedley.info/uniaud-1.9.22-release.zip
(for debug version: http://download.smedley.info/uniaud-1.9.22-debug.zip)

ftp.netlabs.org/pub/uniaud/old/uniaud114RC5.zip

If your audio hardware has something to do with mine, this should get
audio somewhat working without hanging. Occasional audio hangs when
playing YouTube!. Nothing that hangs the computer, but
sometimes you'll have to reboot to get your sound back.
