- shareware image viewer, editor, and converter - Supports over 40
graphic formats (gif, jpg, jpeg, bmp, tiff) and can convert to and from
each format.
- Firefox
- Warpzilla is the OS/2 port of open source, Firefox web browser, and

eComStation.

- Dfsee
- DFSee is a generic disk, partition and filesystem utility for
maintenance and data-recovery. It supports partition tables (FDISK,
LVM), FAT, FAT32, HPFS, NTFS, JFS and, to some extent, EXT2/3 or REISER
filesystems too.
- BitTorrent Pak - Uses the enhanced ctorrent (update) client and Smartlaunch to manage your torrents, so there is no more python to deal with! See my article about using Bittorrents and Smartlaunch!

- The USENET Newsreader now available in version 1.60. While it has
some bugs and missing features, it also has the most elegant and usable
interface of any newsreader I have ever tried.
- Thunderbird
- is Mozilla's next generation e-mail client. Thunderbird makes
emailing safer, faster and easier than ever before and can also scale
to meet the most sophisticated organizational needs.
- PmMail/2 - an e-mail client for OS/2 and eComStation. PMMail for OS/2 is a product of VOICE.

- is a capable Jabber client aimed at experienced users. Its design
goals are simplicity and stability. Psi is highly portable and runs on
Windows, OS/2, Unix/X11, and MacOS X.

- FtpBrowser
- One of the best FTP client I've ever seen. However, it is no longer
supported by the author. The key can be found if you look for it.
- Privoxy
- a web proxy with advanced filtering capabilities for protecting
privacy, filtering web page content, managing cookies, controlling
access, and removing ads, banners and pop-ups.
- Xworkplace - probably the most feature-rich freeware Workplace Shell enhancer on the planet.
- Desktop Wizard 1.41 - adds excellent zip/unzip integration to the desktop (see my review).

for OS/2 Warp. Present almost everywhere yet invisible until needed.
- lSwitcher, Version 2.7
- is a task switcher application for OS/2 and eCS, which includes
an enhanced replacement for the standard Alt-Tab switcher anda feature-rich task bar.
- WPS-Wizard is a set of classes to add unique features to the WPS. It's
seamlessly integrated and offers e.g. an info area for folders showing previews of images (eCS 1.2MR and above) and PDFs (if Lucide is installed), a technically advanced and unique Icon engine for using PNG image files as icons, a Rexx interface to the WPS and much more.
- WarpVision - the multimedia player for OS/2 (review). Play mp3, DVD, and tons of video formats. If you can find a Hauppage WinCast PCI tuner, the TVIN gives an excellent picture.
- Warp Overlay 1.05 - a must if your using WarpVision. Here is an update to Warp Overlay. Install the update before rebooting or the dlls will be locked. It works with my ATI 9200 and 7200 All-in-Wonder cards.

been released (11/20/2009). This software brings support for many DVB
cards, as well as the Hauppauge PVR150/250/350/500 TV cards to the OS/2
platform, including high quality MPEG2 hard disk recording and
playback. You can listen to FM radio programs in stereo, watch TV
programs in excellent image quality, and more.
- PM123 - is a high-quality digital audio player for IBM's OS/2 Warp operating system.
- Z! - VIO window audio player, I use it for shoutcast.
- 4allc_OS2 - best freeware sciencific calculator for OS/2.
- AssoEDIT
- the association editor (ASSOEDIT.EXE) is a tool that allows you to
inspect and, optionally change associations set for file types and file
filters.
- CFGTOOL130 - an editor specialised for the CONFIG.SYS quite useful to anybody using OS/2.
- WPTOOLS - the CHECKINI cleans out OS/2's ini files and removes garbage entries.
- eAccounts
- account and password manager for OS/2 and eComStation, fast PM
interface and data base encryption / decryption with one major password.
- DYNDNSUPD
- Updates a dynamic host on DYNDNS.ORG (20K) Freeware, 25-Jun-2007.
Gets the external IP address, checks it against the given host, and
updates dyndns.org if necessary. Information on the last 4 hosts are
saved in OS2.INI.
- GBMV2 is a fast and simple bitmap viewer and editor for the OS/2
Presentation Manager. This archive contains an enhanced release of the
GBMV/GBMV2 Bitmap Viewer/Editor and the GBM file dialog
(German/English).
- RexxAutoStart - Rexx Autostart is designed to provide a workaround for timing problems
that may lead to a WPS hang on startup on certain OS/2 versions and

- best and probably the only gaming site for OS/2. If you are
looking to play games, OS/2 is not the platform for you. However, we do
have Doom, Quake, Quake II, Doom Legacy, etc.
- SNAP Graphics
- (freeware) for OS/2 takes graphics device driver to the next level
with increased functionality and support for even more graphics chips!
- Panorama video driver
- Panorama is an alternative modern video driver for eComStation and
OS/2. You must pay for a Support Agreement for eComStation. Recommended
for:
- ATI Radeon X1300 (R500 family) and above
- Intel X3000 and above
- NVidia GeForce 6200/6600 and above.
There is also a free verison for Radeon R200 video cards (ATI Radeon 7000 .. 9250)
- UNIAUD
- a generic OS/2 MMPM audio driver that supports the vast majority of
audio hardware. UNIAUD is based on the ALSA Project. Here is the ftp site.
- Samba
is a free implementation of the CIFS/SMB
protocol for Unix, which allows LAN-Server style file and printer
sharing among machines running Windows, Mac OS X ,Unix or eComStation
(OS/2). There is a netlabs
based effort (by and large done by Paul Smedley, with
contributions from Yuri
Dario, Silvan Scherrer and Herwig Bauernfeind
) to port the Samba server and create
a Samba client for eCS
(OS/2) in order to replace the functionality of the outdated
IBM-LAN Requester/Peer/Server components.
- eCUPS - This printer system project is intended to create a seamless integration of eCUPS into eComStation.
- TAME - the scanner solution for OS/2 and eComStation.
- Audio/Data- CD-Creator is
a set of WPS classes for easy creation of audio and data CDs. Burn CDs
entirely via drag'n'drop by using the power of the WPS (Update: 057pre). There was one error during the install of 057 pre, but it installed and works for me.
